In traditional Chinese folk customs, the Doors and Wedding Customs are the subjects that are worth to further studying. Domestic and foreign scholars have done many of the studies about the traditional folk culture of the Doors or traditional wedding. But there are rare studies about the folk culture of the Doors for the perspective of traditional wedding customs, or about the traditional wedding for the perspective of the Doors.In the present paper, the traditional Chinese wedding customs and the Doors in Wedding are studied in the frame of Van Gennep's"Rites of Passage" theory. The ceremony constitution of traditional wedding are analyzed by discussing the three procedures: Going out Door, Passing through the Door and Returning back the Door. And the cultural connotation of the Doors in traditional wedding customs are also discussed. This article points out that the existence of the door is an integral part of traditional wedding. First of all, the door played a leading role in wedding ceremony. Second, the door has a marked role in the field and has become a symbol of the wedding symbol.The paper consists of the following three parts:Part one is an introduction, in which the traditional Chinese wedding customs and the customs of Doors are generalized. In addition, the previous research findings related to them are introduced. Part two serves as the main body of the paper, including four chapters. Chapter one starts with discussing the relationship between the Door and the traditional wedding. The whole traditional wedding is a typical rite of passage, and the Door, as a "threshold", is the most important ritual field. Chapter Two analyses the separation ceremony of the bride, including proposing wedding, escorting and the bride going out. Chapter Three is dedicated to the research of the transition ceremony, pointing out that the ceremony is intended to help the bride to change her role, then focuses on the exorcism custom and praying for fertility when the bride entered into the groom's door. Chapter IV talks about the polymerization ceremony.The third part (Chapter V) discusses the portal concept in traditional wedding, it mainly reflected the concept of area, hierarchy, competition and exchange ideas.
