The Study On Paths For Ningbo To Achieve Changes From Investment-Driven Into Innovation-Driven

From the perspective of factors to explain the pattern of economic growth, mainly depend on the amount of capital investment to promote the investment-driven growth mode and the upgrade technological progress to increase the total factor productivity and thus to promote innovation-driven mode. The conventional reliance on investment-driven economic growth, it is difficult to ensure sustainable growth. The innovation-driven growth mode is the only way to maintain long-term sustainability of economic growth. Along with the deepening of economic development and upgrading of the level of development, relying on innovation to promote the changes from traditional to innovation-driven growth mode, which is both the inherent requirement of further economic development, but also the inevitable trend of economic development.In recent years by the limits of land resources, environmental capacity, factor cost, Ningbo's development has encountered unprecedented challenges. To solve the problem of sustainable development, the only way is to transform the economic growth mode to realize from the investment-driven to innovation-driven change is the inevitable choice for the Ningbo's economic and social development. The main contents of this thesis as following:First, as the theoretical guidance: the development economics in the stage theory of economic growth, innovation economics, Porter's Competitive Advantage of Nations theory, etc., the thesis through research and empirical studies to standardize a combination of research methods.According to the reality of the foundation in Ningbo and the development experience of developed countries, this thesis analyzes that to achieve investment-driven to innovation-driven by the necessity of change and constraints in Ningbo.Second, based on the model of total factor productivity analysis, the thesis draws a reasonable conclusion about Ningbo's economic growth mode. According to obtained data from the model calculations on the indicators of economic contribution of the various elements, Ningbo's total factor productivity and its contribution rate changes to be carried out in-depth analysis, and to explore the way of how to change Ningbo's economic growth mode.Third, this thesis focuses on the quantitative analysis of total factor model results, to establish a comprehensive system of social and economic development indicators. In contrast to the related data in developed countries and the domestic cities, eventually the thesis offers the crucial inspiration for the change of economic growth mode. Fourth, through in-depth analysis of the realities of Ningbo City, the thesis gradually explores how to select the paths to change from investment-driven to innovation-driven in a reasonable way, and ultimately to achieve the transformation of economic growth targets.
