Researcn On Organization Informatization Capability Maturity Model Based On CMM

Informatization is the inevitable result of social development process; informatization has become one kind of unique competitive advantage of organization. However, both the construction and evaluation of informatization are important. From the point of system engineering, evaluating informatization can form a feedback mechanism for construction of informatization reasonably. So, it guides the healthy development of the informatization construction. At present, although many scholars have proposed their own evaluation system and evaluation mechanism for informatization, there is not a scientific and reasonable evaluation model of the authority, Because of the reason above , researching on the evaluation of informatization construction work can provide the rational guidance for informatization construction of the organization.Firstly, starting from a literature review of the classical model,such as the model of Nolan and Mischel, the thesis puts forward a model of information organization called step-by-step long-term system engineering. Secondly, defines the connotation of informatization, and introduces the basic concepts related to CMM model, based on these concepts, a two-dimensional framework of organization informatization capability maturity model is advanced, which includes ability and area domain, then puts forward the evaluation mechanism of this model. Thirdly, the paper constructs the detailed ability dimension of the model. Ability is divided into five dimensions which represent the levels of organization informatization. From low to high these five categories are: Initial, Repeatable, Defined, Managed and Optimizing. Each level includes some common features and generic practice; they provide a step-wise development platform for organization informatization. In the fourth chapter, the author constructs the model of domain. From the three elements of informatization productivity (people, technology, management), this thesis uses the critical success factor law to determine the eight key process areas. One of the two elements (people and technology), the process areas of them is established based on the informatization evaluation index of the national informatization evaluation center. But the process area about key factor management is established based on the theory of lifecycle in information system. The thesis detailedly establishes the process areas of the IT equipment. Using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method of the membership determines whether IT infrastructure becomes the process areas. Finally, based on the actual cases, this thesis uses the organization informatization capability maturity model to evaluate the company's informatization level.
