With the fast development of automotive in our country, requirements for technology of automotive enterprises production and operation grow. As an important step of automotive manufacturing, production planning methods need to enhance its scientificalness as soon as possible.The purpose of this paper is carding and optimizing existing automobile production planning flow and methods, combining advanced production planning theory and APS system theory and putting it into practice. This paper adopts interdisciplinary approach of industry engineering, operational research, supply chain management, computer science, biological genetics, etc, research methods combining fundamental research and modern optimization algorithm and research methods combining theory and practice, makes a deep research of automobile production planning.At first, this paper analyses the development of automotive and production planning model in manufacturing, summarize the new characters of modern automotive, and mainly finds the problem of our country's automotive and relative manufacturing technique.After that, this paper sums up key points of production planning basic theories, mainly researches several practical issues in automobile manufacturing such as hiberarchy of production planning, rolling plan, work sequence and pull-production system, which provides a steady foundation for scientific automobile production planning.Meanwhile, this paper does research on the basic architecture, characters and arithmetic of APS system, present a genetic-simulated annealing algorithm to solve the scheduling problem of flexible manufacture system, and explains the industry application model of APS and ERP system integration.At last, based on research and summarization on the theories of production planning and APS system, this paper applies the outcome to a automobile factory example, sorts out the commonly flow of automobile production planning designs the modules of the production planning information system and makes a production plan for the automobile factory example by using optimization tools and genetic algorithm, which introduces a high reference and guidance on the car manufacturer's automobile production planning.
