Nowadays, the customer demand is more and more personalized, the market changes frequently and is hard to predict, and the competition between enterprises is cumulatively fierce, therefore, the requirements for production efficiency, just in time(JIT) and flexibility of enterprises are increasingly enhanced. In such an environment, how to formulating production planning reasonably, so as to improve the flexibility of production system and response to rapidly changing market demand timely, is one of the key issues relating to the enterprise competitiveness and even to the survival and development. APS system is based on the idea of theory of constraints(TOC), fully considering the limited capacity of all kinds of resources in the workshop. Through making the production scheduling strategy in line with the actual situation, the workshop production planning in process level which is optimized, accurate and convenient for real-time adjustment is generated. The thesis investigates the application of TOC in electronics industry, focuses on how to apply the TOC theory and DBR scheduling mechanism into the advanced planning and scheduling system. A detailed, accurate and flexible workshop production planning for enterprises is made, and the group scheduling method is employed to conduct planning, so as to improve the enterprise planning ability and management level, make customer satisfied, and reduce the cost under the premise of improving the enterprise production efficiency. The thesis carries on the preliminary production modeling in the APS system for a PCBA processing workshop of an electronics manufacturing enterprise. The planning system APS model is established by using the DBR model, and the optimized planning result is compared and analyzed with the planning under the current operation mode of the enterprise. The production planning is further optimized through the group scheduling method, and the superiority of applying the APS planning and scheduling based on the theory of constraints is demonstrated. Finally the full thesis is summarized and further research prospects are put forward.
