Suppliers'quality management is very important role in supplier chain management, supplier quality level represent the products'quality, price, lead time etc, that represents company's competitive in the markets. This thesis refers to the mechanical seal supplier which main product is mechanical seals, this products are used in nuclear, military, pumps, valves etc. The products'major components are Alumina, Ceramic seal rings, so this seal rings quality represents the mechanical seal products'quality.Thesis states Alumina, Ceramic manufacturing process like powder preparation, modeling, burning technology, precision machinig and quality requirements. Also questioned the supplier Ceramic & Alumina seal rings'eligible rate is much lower up to 93.2%; but internation level should be up to 95%. The high defect rate is seal rings corner damage, the rate can up to 3.5%. Average defect rate should be within 2%.In order to improve the quality level, supplier decided to set up this new project team to use Six-Segama tools like"SIPOC"to break down manufacture process to collect defect data and analysis the data, use Primary Metric Graph and Secondary Metric Graph to state the quality problems. Then use"CSN"to identify the controllable and not controllable factors. Utilize the Brain Storm to draft the"Fish-Bone Chart"and XY Matrix to identify the Major cause of the problems. Based on the analysis result, using 6-Seagma tool like RPN of FMEA to identify the RPN and make the relevant improve plan, execution and supervision. Check the result after improvement.After analysis and comparision, we did find the seal rings corner damage rate from 3.5% down to 1.5%; products eligible rate improve from 93.2% to 95.2%. the result was meet project objective.
