The Development Of Metrology And The Evolution Of Metrological Management Institution In Inner Mongolia

In the early days of the People’s Republic of China,the units of measurement were faced with diversification and the whole nation’s measurement cause was undergoing constant change until the late 1990 s.This paper makes a comprehensive review of the development of metrology and the evolution of metrological management institutions in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.In this paper,the Mongolian traditional metrological methods are introduced in detail.On the basis of the above,the unification,restructuring and institutionalization of metrology in Inner Mongolia are investigated,and then their development characteristics are summarized,which are the reasons that the Inner Mongolia’s Government,combined with the characteristics of the vast and sparse population and the large number of nationalities of the Inner Mongolia,had fully played its subjective initiative to complete the deep-seated reform.The article also comprehensively inspects the developing process of the metrological administrative organization and the metrological technique organization in Inner Mongolia,including the establishment and development of the organization,the work content,the main duty,the main management organization and the operation system etc.It is concluded that the characteristics of the evolution of metrological management institution are not obvious comparing with the characteristics of metrological development in Inner Mongolia.The reason is that the development of metrological management was carried out under the national vertical leadership,and the government gave play to its subjective initiative and cooperated closely with the metrological management institution so to protect and promote the development of measurement cause in Inner Mongolia.
