This article did a study on the innovation search in electronic information enterprises within two perspectives. Firstly, this article makes an empirical study of the impact of innovation search intensity on business performance, using the data of "hundred electronic information enterprises in China". Secondly, this article analyzes the current situation of the technical innovation in electronic information industry and the innovation search. Using the data from CSRC that 106 listed companies, the article describes the current situation of enterprise innovation search based on exploration, exploitation and 3 dimensions of innovation search (supply-side, demand-side and geographic search).Concluded by the study:1) There is positive correlation between business performance and the intensity of innovation search.2) The intensity of innovation search has lagged effect for business performance; it has maximum positive correlation about lagging 2 years.3) There is positive correlation between the profitability and exploitation, demand-side search; there is positive correlation between the develop capability and exploration, demand-side search, and there is negative correlation between the develop capability and exploitation.
