A Study On The Relationship Between Rural Financial Development And Agricultural Foreign Trade In China

Relationship between rural finance and agricultural international trade has a special significance to rural economy. However, it is not difficult to find out that most studies focus on the relationship between agricultural international trade and rural economy, rarely involved in rural finance research when we looking back the study on agricultural international trade. On the other hand, most studies have mainly focused on the mechanism of rural finance and rural economy, too little attention to rural finance and agricultural international trade when we look back to the rural finance theory.The thesis takes the research background of rural finance development and agricultural international trade as foundation. The main contents of the study are as follows: Under the guidance of theoretical framework concerning the theory of relationship between finance and economy, international trade and economy, finance development and international trade; Defining basic domain to be studied in this thesis; by clarifying the theoretical connotation, measurement criteria and characteristics of rural finance development and agricultural international trade, the thesis reveals the transmission mechanism that rural finance development promote agricultural foreign trade through capital accumulation, technological progress and promotion of economies of scale; by over viewing the their reality in china, Analyzing the changes of rural finance development and agricultural foreign trade in past 30 years; by applying quantitative analysis methods, such as Causality test and Granger causality test and Error correction model, to test data of China from 1982 to 2008, except the rate of rural credit indicates that rural financial development can conducive to agricultural foreign trade, the other indicators ,including rural deposit ratio, income or paid of agricultural insurance, are not promote the development of agricultural foreign trade effectively; based on theoretical analysis and combined with condition of transition process in China ,the study probes into imbalance of the relation between rural financial development and agricultural foreign trade, examines the causes for such imbalance, main reasons of rural financial development are as follow: services unitary, low efficiency, serious of rural capital outflows, imperfect development of rural non-formal finance. And development of agricultural foreign trade support for rural financial development inadequately, then the study puts forward some suggestions in policy against the analysis.
