Enterprises are facing a new environment which is characterized by economic globalization and the rapid development of information technology and consumer demand uncertainty, diversity and dynamic. In such a dynamic and complex environment, enterprises are facing unprecedented challenges in inventory management. Inventory management has been an important part of inventory management in business management. Through rational inventory management it can save operating costs, reduce the risk of depreciation and arrange reasonably product production planning. In the traditional management mode, users and suppliers have separate library, implementing their inventory policies separately. The limits of this strategy are distributed stock inventory, fragmentation, and lack of a unified and systematic inventory control methods. Due to different targets, different enterprises in supply chain are easy to have conflicts, which result in a loss of overall interest in supply chain. The complete information can not be shared among enterprises, which is easy to be distorted during the transfer process among enterprises in different nodes, and produces uncertain demand.Joint inventory management is an inventory management of a risk sharing based on the strategy of distributor integration in supply chain management. It emphasizes the two sides participating jointly in developing inventory plans to make both sides coordinated. Joint inventory management is an effective method to solve the demand amplification phenomenon led by enterprise independent inventory operation mode in different nodes and improve supply chain synchronization. Joint inventory management emphasizes every node in supply chain participating jointly in developing inventory plans in order to make every inventory manager do consideration from mutual coordination and maintain the same on demand expectation, eliminating demand amplification phenomenon. In stead of independent inventory operation, the demand of adjacent nodes is determined through the supply and demand coordination. Joint inventory management is a link and coordination center between supply and demand.Taking distributed inventory system consisting of multiple warehouses as the study object, this paper establishes the management optimization model based on the analysis of the JIM and traditional inventory model, adopts the genetic algorithm to optimize joint orders and allocation of multiple warehouses and strives to find the global optimal solution or near-global optimal solution as far as possible.
