In 2009 China became the largest automotive sales market all over the world. The fast development of China automotive market established good base for development of automotive aftermarket parts. The sales revenue of China automotive aftermarket was 74.3 billion RMB in 2008. It is estimated that the sales revenue will achieve 107 billion RMB.Management of automotive aftermarket parts is a challenge to car makers, suppliers and dealers. Many commodities, various sales channels, inaccurate demand forecast, staffs with different quality, all these make management of aftermarket parts become one of the most complex and difficult tasks in automotive field.Since 2003 General Motors China Aftermarket Parts Operation Company has established one entire logistics management system through learning General Motors USA's advanced management experience combined with China local management characters. This thesis will analyze General Motors China Aftermarket Parts Operation, and mainly describe General Motors China's logistics management of aftermarket parts.Theory-link-fact method of logistics management will be used in analyzing the problems General Motors China Aftermarket Parts Operation Company met before, 3PL, the modes of logistics operation improvement, ordering and inventory management, and ERP system. The analytic result is to understand character and methods that General Motors China uses in logistics management of aftermarket parts, and as guideline for current work and solutions to problems.
