China Post is a large scale, state-owned, multiplex managing enterprise. In 1998 after "A posts and telecommunications minute camp", China Post has started its independent operation. China Post is currently in charge of several kinds of nearly hundred different kinds of services. China Post Express Mail Service (EMS) was originally from the International Express Delivery Services in 1980s. Now it has passed its 26th anniversary. Reviewing its developing, it has four main phases: The service foundation time; the high speed rise period, the competition intensifies, the resources reorganization time. the adjustment is consolidated, the coordinated period of expansion. Summarizing the China Post EMS development course, in the EMS high speed rise period, we neglected to study the China Post EMS sustainable developmental strategy, when we face the suddenly market competition, we find we lack ample preparation, we have lost many market share. The analysis at present, each kind of service of postal service, EMS is one of most intensive and competitive services. On December 11, 2005, after the overseas express enterprises were allowed to enter China's express delivery market as sole ownership, they have brought us the abundant fund, the nimble competitive system and the advanced management and valuable experience, causes the situation of China express delivery market more complex, the situation is more stern, the Chinese express delivery now has started to enter the conformity stage. Therefore, chooses the EMS developmental strategy and promotes the postal service express delivery competitive ability as soon as possible, seems to be very important.
