Under the tendency of deepening and increasingly rapid economical liberalization and globalization, the development of various industries does not appear dispersible, instead gathers by some way. Why does these industries gather together forming cluster? How can it become an effective way to maintain the regional competitive advantages? In this article, we believe the reason mainly lies in the specialized division of labor and coordination network inside industrial cluster. Under the theoretical analysis frame of institutional economics, introducing some methods and concepts of economic sociology, we mainly analyze the advantages of the specialized division of labor and coordination network and its major effective factors, furthermore based on the empirical analysis, as for some problems about the specialized division of labor and coordination network when the Northeast region develops industrial cluster, we give some suggestions.Firstly, we introduce the concept and essential features of industrial cluster. As a new concept, industrial cluster was firstly raised by Michael Porter in this book the competitive advantages of nation in 1990. In short, industrial cluster is a kind of regional economical pattern, in which some both independent and interdependent enterprises gather in certain region, which implement massive and specialized production, through specialized division of labor, and holds a big share in global, national or regional market. Through longitudinal specialized division of labor and lateral economic coordination, the industrial cluster, as a whole, realizes flexible specialization production and management.Secondly, we briefly review the main point of the Classical Economics, New Classical Economics as well as Institutional Economics concerning the specialized division of labor, which provides the basic rationale for the main analysis of this paper.
