This paper aimed to analyze present China Unicom's value-added service, through an investigation into the key phases in the whole value-added service value chain, points out the problems, and proposes practical suggestions.This paper is composed of three parts:The first part gives an overview of value-added service both home and abroad, and its future. This part also provides an analysis of the popular value-added service.The second part mainly focuses on the analysis of China Unicom's value-added service. In the first part explores the misunderstanding in china unicom's value-added service and some strategic suggestions. Also in the part is a detail analysis of the product chain, cooperates and the dominating advantages of China Unicom's value-added service. Based on this, the author proposed some value-added service and give an detailed discussion and analysis on the development of China Unicorn's value-added service influenced by the 3G technology.The third part gives some strategic suggestions to China Unicom's value-added service, including the changes of carriers' functions, service platform, marketing idea and control over the terminal, with an aim to give some references to China Unicom's value-added service.The key point in this paper is the value-added service which is closely related to China Unicom and its cooperates. This paper used many analyzing methods such as value-chain analysis, comparison, examples, and price-bar theory.
