The financial crisis of East Asia in 1997 had significant meanings on the history of Asia. It reflected that financial crisis had become regional phenomenon day by day. How to prevent and rescue financial crisis had already become a regional and global problem. East Asian countries realized that in fact they had combined together as a whole, so they needed strengthening international cooperation in preventing and dealing with financial crisis, such as setting up risk warning mechanism and currency interchange mechanism. On the other hand, Asian financial crisis also demonstrated that the current international monetary system had its limitation for preventing and dealing with regional financial crisis. So East Asia should be devoted to advancing regional financial cooperation. As an important economic giant, our country should pa(?)ticipate in the East Asian monetary cooperation actively .So, this text has discussed East Asian monetary cooperation and countermeasure our country should take.The text is divided into four parts:The preface mainly expatiates topic meanings, research methods, thesis structure and main views.In chapter one, through systematic analysis to international monetary cooperation theory, , the author points out that monetary cooperation is the historical choice of East Asia in the course of economic integration.Chapter two firstly defines the meaning of East Asian monetary cooperation, then analyzes the current situation of monetary cooperation; affirms achievements and analyzes problems. Chapter three has carried on prospective discussion to core currency and cooperative route for East Asian situation. Chapter four, specifically discussed strategies of our country and tactics of RMB regionalization in East Asia monetary cooperation.
