Research On Conformity And Development Of Tourist Resources Of Rizhao, Shandong

The tourism development layout of Shandong province spatially relies on the Seaside Tour Belt centered on Qingdao and the Mountain-Fountain-Confucius Tour Section pivoted by Ji'nan Tai'an and Qufu. In the north of the Seaside Tour Belt, the tourist industry of Yantai and Weihai developed earlier and takes on a considerable level. The actual tour route---the Golden Coastline of Shandong province--- pivoted by Qingdao Weihai and Yantai, excludes Rizhao from its extension, although it lies in the south of the Seaside Tour Belt. In effect, as a coastal city, Rizhao possesses not only high-qualified 3S tourist resources but also abundant resources of other different styles. The reason why it is excludes from the orientation of Shandong tourism layout is that the scenery areas in Rizhao are dispersed and their spatial distance is long; that it has few famous tour products; and that it has not yet developed a bright city tourist image. In recent years, Ji'ning Zaozhuang and Linyi have made great progress in tourism development. In addition, the well-grounded Culture-History-Folk-custom tour section, pivoted by Ji'nan Zibo and Weifang, has become increasingly attractive. Spatially it makes Shandong tourism layout apparently orbicular. Rizhao is an important link in this orbicular structure because of its hinge position connecting the Mountain-Fountain-Confucius Tour Section and the Seaside Tour Belt by way of Lunan Burgeoning Tour Section. In other words, the overall tourism development of Shandong province requires the rapid tourism development of Rizhao for its nationwide promotion. The Tenth Five-Year Plan confirmed by Rizhao government not only demands rapid tourism expansion, but also provides a guarantee for tourism development in political background and infrastructure.
