Research On Tourist Flows Of Urban Parks In Urumqi

Tourist flows are the results of the interaction between tourist destination and tourist origin. Mastering the features of tourist flows is the most foundational work in the research of tourism. This paper does research on tourist flows of urban parks in Urumqi, which is the typical inland city. The importance of urban park construction is enhanced increasingly with the acceleration of urbanization progress and the deterioration of urban environment. Research of urban parks tourist flows has been an important significance on the urban sustained development.Based on lots of on-the-spot investigations and surveys, the author analyses the demographical features and the behavior features and the time features and the space features of urban park tourist flows in Urumqi. The author applies Analytic Hierarchy Process to evaluate the driving factors of urban park tourist flows in Urumqi.Through these analyses, the author sums up the whole paper and draws some conclusions on the demographical features and the behavior features and the time features and the space features of tourist flows in Urumqi urban parks. Demographical features of tourist flows contain such factors as sexual distinction, age differences, occupational classification, cultural background, and average monthly income etc. The behavior of tourist contains such factors as the travel purpose, travel pattern, travel determination,means of transportation, the ways of knowing the parks, the visiting frequencies in a year and spending situation in the parks etc. The time features contain such factors as perennial variation, seasonal variation, weekly variation and daily variation etc. The space features contain such factors as time distance and the family address etc. Additionally, the author clarifies the driving factors of urban park tourist flows in Urumqi.
