The Coordination Relationship Between Tourist Flows And Urban Development

In recent years,with the deepening of supply-side reforms,China has entered a stage of striving toward high-quality development.Both urban tourism and urban development are facing higher challenges.However,the problems of environmental pollution and ecological damage caused by excessive tourism have become increasingly serious,and the sustainable development of cities and tourism has attracted people's attention.The focus of urban tourism research has turned to the study of the coordinated relationship between urban tourism and urban development.This study focuses on examining the coordination relationship between tourist flows and urban development with constructing a coupling coordination model.Combined with the five major tourism sectors of Hunan Province,14 cities in Hunan Province have conducted spatio-temporal evolution analysis of comprehensive development benefits and coupling coordination degrees.The study finds that:firstly,With occasional fluctuations,the comprehensive benefits of the tourist flows and urban development system in Hunan Province shows an overall upward development trend.The inter-city differences are obvious between Changsha City and other cities,and the inter-city differences between other cities are smaller.The comprehensive benefit levels of different systems vary widely.Secondly,the development of the tourist flows and the urban development systems in Hunan Province are not synchronized,mainly as a lag of tourist flows.The tourist flows and the urban development system are becoming synchronized.Thirdly,coupling and coordination degree between tourist flows and urban development system has characteristics of spatial and temporal differentiation.Judging from the timeseries,the coupling coordination degree of 14 cities shows a good upward trend.According to the span,cities are divided into "slow growth","fast growth" and "wandering stagnation".According to the time series evolution characteristics,cities can be classified into "high-level stability ","Rising fluctuations" and "smooth rises".From the perspective of the spatial structure evolution,cities with a high level of coupling coordination are mainly concentrated in the Chang-Zhu-Tan and the Western Hunan Tourism Plate.Zhangjiajie and Changsha are the center of gravity.The spatial structure evolves in three major ways:the first is from northeast to southwest.The second is from southeast to northwest.The third is to spread from the east and west to the middle.According to the conclusion,the advantages and disadvantages of the tourist flows and urban development in Hunan Province are summarized,and suggestions are:strive to maintain and make full use of the development advantages,innovate the development model and promote the development to deepen the supply-side structural reform.Upgrade of the urban tourism industry in environment,ecological environment and city image.Carry out construction of key cities and strengthen spatial linkage.Attention should be paid to the development disadvantages and shortcomings should be filled.Speed up the construction of urban agglomerations and reduce inter-city differences,integrate tourism products between cities and prefectures to upgrade the development pattern of tourism,and strengthen cooperation between industries and cities to promote coordinated development.
