China Construction Fifth Bureau Wu Han Company (Wu Han Company for short) was founded in 1998. Unto 2005, construction production value 112.1709 million RMB and profit 255.34 million have been achieved. Due to the ineffectiveness of material management, it affected the profit capacity and further the competitive power. In order to decrease the material cost and enhance the market competitive power, the leaders in Wuhan Company brought the idea that the materiel management should be innovatedIn order to make the material management goes smoothly, firstly I investigated the current situation of the material management in Wuhan Company and found the problems existed via the situation analysis. Furthermore this thesis establishes the improving strategies aiming at the existed problems.From the specific analysis of the existed problems, the thesis found the specific causes and therefore advanced the betterment strategy. The specific strategy is mainly from the material management flow reconstruction and material management improving projects and control. In the discussion of the material management improving projects and control, this thesis mainly had the detailed discussion on the material management control emphasis, the amelioration of supplier management, cost checking project, material stocking control, material planning management, material spot management. Furthermore, it deepened into the enterprise inner control, material quality and cost.This thesis analyzed the specific amelioration effects aiming to the above measures. This thesis holds that via the material betterment measures it can greatly decrease material cost , sufficiently jam the losing , emitting and spillage.
