The Corporate Culture System Study Of China Merchants Bank

Today, great chances are brought to Chinese banks by China's reformation and opening. In this situation, it is of great importance for banks to throw themselves into global markets and integrate with international practice as quickly as possible. Chinese banks must be commercialized, thus the traditional operating model should be broken. And then an efficient competitive mechanism will be founded. In this circumstance, it is urgent to research how to manage banks more effectively. As an important part of enterprise management, corporate culture has attracted more and more researchers' eyes.After over ten years' development, the influence of corporate culture on China Merchants Bank has become more and more important. The leaders of China Merchants bank have realized that the development of bank relies on all employees' hard work. Consequently, cultivating corporate culture and building up business concept for the employees will affect the development of China Merchants Bank greatly.In this paper, I study the development and practice of bank corporate culture in foreign countries firstly, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these banks, and introduce the practical activities of some excellent banks of western countries. Then, the problems and shortcomings existing in corporate culture were sum up and the practices of corporate culture construction of some excellent banks in China were also shown up. All these effort provide experience for China Merchants Bank to construct its corporate culture.Secondly, the development process of corporate culture of China Merchants Bank was introduced, the problems existing in the corporate culture construction of China Merchants Bank and reasons of these problems were analyzed.
