The main objective of the paper is to study the growth of China's services trade and its impact on economic growth. The route of the paper is that: firstly, the relevant concepts about services trade are defined scientifically, the development history and status quo are described qualitatively and quantitatively, and so are the problems exiting in the development of China's services trade. The paper also gives an compare of the development of China's services trade at the horizontal level as well as analyzing its competitive power in the world quantitatively. Based on above analyses, the main point of the paper is to empirically analyzing the impact of development of China's services trade on China's economic development, and the impact of China's producer services trade on economic growth and industry growth. Finally, relevant strategies of improving contribution of China's services trade to economic development. The main analyzing methods applied are positive analysis, complementing with historic and comparative analysis. The results are that:Firstly, China's service industries experienced a quick development, however, there exist evident problems. The problems in China's services are mainly that the production value and employment of services relative to GDP and gross employment are too small, which causes the low contribution of services to economic development; the development of modern services is lagged, and the supporting systems of development of service industries are imperfect.Secondly, China's services trade saw a strong growth, but its international competitive power is relatively weaker. The problems are mainly that: the proportion of traditional services is too large, that of modern services particularly producer services is low; Imbalance development between services trade and goods trade; China's services trade's competitive power is much weaker than developed countries.Thirdly, services trade promotes China's economic growth evidently, especially services import. Both services export and import is positively correlative with China's economic growth.Fourthly, producer services trade brings about notable economic effect, and larger marginal output. It Is argued that producer services trade can facilitate economic growth effectively, and offer inter-input high-quality and low-price services to other industries as intra-input.
