The Research On Running And Developing Strategy For Baoan Science Museum

Since it opened to the public, Shenzhen Baoan Science and Technology Museum (hereinafter referred to as Baoan Science and Technology Museum) has made certain accomplishments with these four main functions: science-spreading to the public, academic exchanging, science and technology education, and science and technology services. However, difficulties occur when the limitations lie on the operation mechanism and the lack of funds. How the museum will create the strategies on adapting to the future developments and how to remove the operation obstacles have become crucial to the museum's wholesome growth.Various means such as academic research, social and practical research have been adopted. And for the development direction of the museum's operation mode, this paper digs deep into both domestic and overseas museums' history and making a comparison between the different operation management systems and main themes, while at the same time systematically analyzing on the status quo of Baoan Science and Technology Museum. After all these, three strategic options are brought up: building a new museum, changing the balance allocation system into full allocation system, or reforming the management and development mode of the balance allocation system. Countermeasures are respectively given in accordance with the above-mentioned three strategic options.
