In view of the fact that realizes the sustainable development importance, the domestic and foreign academic circles have conducted extensive research separately on city sustainable development appraisal system, obtained the many kinds of appraisals system, also in the multitudinous appraisal system, is doping many wrong viewpoints and the theory, has affected the appraisal result authenticity, provides the wrong basis for the city development decision-making. This article has carried on the theoretical analysis in view of the different assessment method, and has carried on the real diagnosis contrast analysis to the different assessment method, according to the different assessment method result, used the Spearman coefficient to carry on screening to the assessment method fit and unfit quality.The paper divides into three parts from the whole, the first part of analysis city sustainable development connotation, has carried on the review and the summary to the city sustainable development appraisal theory development. The second part analyzed our country researchers to evaluate after testing in the theory in the city sustainable development the commonly used method, (ANP) introduced one new assessment method network analytic method to the sustainable development evaluates after testing, and aimed at the different assessment method to carry on the real diagnosis contrast analysis.
