Cost Analysis Based On Bidding Strategies In Power Plants

With the reformation in power industry going deeply, every power plant has to face power net bidding. The vital thing for power plants is how to lower generating cost and maximize profit.The main content of this paper is as follows. Firstly, the four bidding strategies and bidding model in power plants are introduced. Secondly, economic performance of boilers, turbines and heat systems in power plants are analyzed. Thirdly, the elements of generating cost, their characteristics and effecting factors, are discussed based on reliability and bidding price. Then, the author presents the method of effectively distributing generating load between several parallel operating units. From the point of whole grid, optimum scheme for load distribution under AGC is also studied. At last, the real-time cost analysis in Panshan Power Plant is presented.
