Distribution center, as the produce of the society and specialty in logistics domain, plays an important role in logistics functions. According the actuality of low information and single function, the thesis is designed to universal, complete logistics center warehouse management information system.In the thesis, the warehouse management information system is full analyzed and designed. Considered in the whole system of distribution center, it not only assorts with others, but also satisfies its own requirements, which fully incarnates the convenience the computerized information management brings to the distribution center.According to the view and basic principle of system in the thesis, firstly, distribution center warehouse management information system is analyzed in detail; afterward, the author take out the data flow and mark out the function of the system. The data flow chart is drawn and the functions are detailed designed. According as the flow chart, the database is projected in detail. SQL Server 2000 is chose to the background database, and VB.NET is applied to the achievement of the system.The requirement for the function of the warehouse is different according to the different type of the storage, which determines the warehouse management information system has the individual requirements besides the basic functions. The design of the system in the thesis fully satisfies the requirement of distribution center, and also embodies the basic functions. Therefore, the design is used in other warehouse management systems as long as it is changed. In a certain extent, the design and study of distribution center warehouse management in the thesis has a better practice and reference value.
