Research On Park System Of Big City

The city park of our country is developing from the classic park to the west colony parks, then to the near modern park of the liberation time. The park system also grows up gradually, and becomes perfect and important part of the city.Nowadays, quantity of the park is increasing, and the area is enlarging gradually. It seems that our citizen leaves it still faraway,We can not help asking myself: Is this our home in the ideal? Did our living quality change greatly due to it?Return to development of these years, the emergence of new type green land and the development of understanding. We have the necessity to re-carry on examining the future development of the city park. The purpose of this thesis are to find out the problem of the big city park system from a new high perspective,to set up a new city park system which match the future development trend,and to establish the index sign systems.Based on the urban development theories, urban open space system theories, landscape ecology theories and urban recreation theories, the author redefined the content and extention of city parks, and bring some of the new type of open space in the suburban area into the whole city park system. By studying the advanced experience of the development of park systems in big cities,such as Tokyo and London…etc, and making many revelant questionnaires to experts, the author founded the evaluation indicate system of the park system in big cities.The indicates include: ecology,diversity,pattern and layer, balance of distribution,accessibility,and economic benefit.By the analysis of the city park system of Shanghai, the author found out the existing problems in it including:singlness of park types;shortage in quatity(especially lack of parks in grade two and three);unbalance of distribution;uncompeleted green gallery system and construction of the suburban recreational sites. Meanwhile the author put forward the suggestion and strategies of solutions to the problems.The author analyzed the structure,development pattern,distribution features and management of the suburban recreational destinations, and predicted the future development trend of the suburban parks. Finally, for the purpose of improving the living quality of the citizens, the author created the city park systems of shanghai by the consideration of space-time distribution discipline of recreational activities.
