The enhancement of people's living standard and speeding up of life rhythm have provided the great power to the development of fast food industry, but the modern Chinese Fast-food industry also has many problems in the developing process, such as the short vitality, easily imitated and substituted, unstable product quality and the low standardization as well as the slow chain management development, and so on. The solutions to these issues are to establish the long-term competitive advantage and form the core product and technology.The core competence theory provides the powerful support to the problems of modern Chinese fast food industry which is unique, valuable, can not be imitated and substituted, and so on. At the same time, the core competence is the power of establishing the enterprise long-term competitive advantage.This paper has elaborated the core competence theory, including its concept,characteristics,level and the current studying situation at home and abroad, and then analyzed the West Fast-food industry's core competence basing on KFC and McDonalds, with Chinese Fast-food industry's characteristic and the present situation, according to the core competence level, has constructed the core competence model of modern Chinese Fast-food industry .This model has pointed out the constructional factors of modern Chinese Fast-food industry's core competence including the cognition attribute and the behavior attribute as well as the competitive advantage's transformation, finally proposed the cultivating ways to modern Chinese Fast-food industry's core competence, which are to establish outstanding enterprise culture, implement standardization,quantitative,industrialization and mechanization and establish chain management.The paper has chosen fast food industry of service industry which is new in domestic research field; The thesis focuses on product quality of food, basing this way to create core competence of modern Chinese Fast-food which is to built research system and use standardization,quantitative,industrialization and mechanization; Finally, the paper has proposed the competitive advantage transform to core competence, has further enriched this theory this also will be the present paper innovation place.
