Empirical Research On Relations Between Bohai Rim Foreign Investment And Industrial Agglomeration

Since the reform and opening up, China's market potential for increase, set off a new round of foreign direct investment craze, there has been much concern about the economic scholars. FDI inflows not only to a certain extent, improve the competitiveness of local industries, also strengthened the region's overall welfare and the sustainable development capacity. However, since the last century since the 1990s, FDI location choice of the determining factors gradually changes, Industrial Clustering as a regional industrial development of the important characteristics, has become the key factors of the location of choice of FDI. Meanwhile, foreign direct investment in Central China's geographical distribution has a new trend. Bohai Rim as our northern coast of opening up the largest regional, found the effective way to attract the foreign capital by geographical advantages and preferential policies, gradually become another economic development of China's leading region after the PRD and the Yangtze River Delta. How to enhance foreign direct investment to promote the attractiveness of the region's industry cluster development is a very important theoretical and practical problem.This paper study the industry groups and the regional development strategy to start with the relationship between industry agglomeration and foreign direct investment. First outlined in the Bohai Rim foreign direct investment and industrial group on the status and development issues, data analysis shows that foreign direct investment in Bohai Rim areas distribution, distribution of the sources, distribution methods and distribution industries. And used of cluster index of 25 industry clusters, conducted a quantitative measurement and analysis. Second, use the exposition of the case through foreign direct investment to the impact of industrial agglomeration. Again, selected the impact of foreign direct investment in the 12 variables, using factor analysis method proved the level of economic development, labor gathered, industry gathering the openness of the economy and government policies affecting foreign direct investment as important factors, the regression analysis show the factors attracting foreign investment for flexibility.
