Salary management is the most difficult and the most sensitive work in the human resources management of modern enterprises all through the ages. More and more people pay close attention to the relationship between the creative of salary institution and the human resources developing management of enterprises. The competition between enterprises in a market economy is eventually that for human resources. Those that have a competitive edge in the human resource competition can expect to grasp the pre-emptive opportunities in the business competition. Enterprises that expect to survive in the on-going market internationalization and economic globalization should make use of the mechanism of salary incentive to attract and retain the entrepreneurs, other excellent executives and employees in order to give the full scope to their roles and enable them to create more economic benefits for their enterprises. Therefore, a scientific and competitive salary-incentive mode for the enterprises has come to be the key link in the human resource competition among the enterprises.After our country had executed the reform and opening up, socialist market economy had developed in a high speed. When we enter in 1900s, many overseas direct companies come to china one by one. AMWAY is the leader in the many direct companies. AMWAY annually turnover had increased from 15 million 1995 to 17 billion 2004. The outstanding achievement makes anyone shocked.The article is divided into five sections. The first part elaborates start of the question and the intention of this article, introduces background, content and method of the research. The second part is the summarize of the related theories of incentives widely accepted in international communities and the concept of salary, discusses the features of seller and the concept of the seller's salary. In thethird part, the article describes the definition of direct sell, presents the salary system of other direct sell companies, tells the differentials of these system and the system of AMWAY. The article studies the successful reason of the system from sides of the motivate theory Goal-theory, Maslow's hierarchy of human needs, Achievement of human needs, Fair-theory, Immaturity-maturity theory, Reinforcing stimulus theory, Theory of principal- agent and culture of enterprises with a full analysis of the present system of the AMWAY. Then the article comes up with some problems and advices in the light of a full analysis of the present state of incentives among the AMWAY entrepreneurs. The fourth part pays close attention to practice of motivate theory, find some revelations, new methods and new ideas which could help other enterprises from AMWAY. The fifth part is the conclusion of the article, the author also points out the deficient of the article and the suggestions to research in future.
