Research On The Relationship Between Safety Investment And Benefit In Coal Industry

In recent years, Safety is becoming more and more important than before because of grievous safety condition. It is well known that safety is a kind of benefit to all people. As safety benefit has some following characters: indirect, latent, secluded. So it can not get desired recognition by some enterprises. In some degree it account for more serious safety situation. This paper started with the research of the relationship between safety investment and safety benefit in Chinese coal industry. It aims at having the relevant department and enterprise pay more attention to the safety investment. It can also serve to providing some references for coal enterprise when they are making decisions about safety investment.On the basis of a quantity of materials, this paper introduced the general circumstance of coal industry in our country. According to indirect measure, the author calculated the concrete data relationship among fund; labor and safety benefit during the decade from 1991 to 2000 in this field, And then dealt with these data by econometrics. In this way, it can avoid the past limitation of calculating by experience which is short of data's accuracy. Finally this paper created a function model about safety investment and safety benefit for the coal industry, and drew a conclusion that safety investment and safety benefit have direct proportion relationship in the area of coal industry.
