On January 1, 2005, WTO members will abolish all limits of textile quotas, which is regarded as a token of textile and costume industry entering the era of free trade quota. The article analyzes present situation of our country textile, compared superiority and compared inferiority. Using M. Port's "five kind of competitions model", The article analyzes textile and clothing exportation competition situation in our country after quota cancellation. The article pointed out that the challenge we faces mainly comes from two aspects: One is the trade friction from import countries which established importing limits to developing counties; Another is the trade competition between the great nations in textile and clothing exportation and China. Finally the article pointed out that the quota cancellation to our country textile clothing exportation is not a simple advantage thing, the future will be variable. Under the new exportation competition situation, our country will have to deal with "the friction" and "the competition" positively after quota being cancelled, especially must try our best to transform the compared superiority in T&C industry to the competitive advantage in exportation trade. |
