Yumen Oilfield Development Strategy Research

It is quite necessary to work on the future development of Yumen Oilfield, which is the cradle of China's petroleum industry with a history of over 60 years of oilfield construction and development.This paper aims on establishment of the development strategies of Yumen Oilfield based on the deep analysis of the oilfield's recent situation, opportunities, challenges, advantages and disadvantages. The business strategies, that the oil and gas industry should be planed based on the natural resources and the engineering and technology service industry should be advanced from planned management to guidance by market forces, have been mentioned.In this paper, it was regarded as key to enhancing the oilfield's core competitiveness and sustainable development that more oil and gas resources were got by increasing capital investment in the exploration and realizing technological innovation and breakthroughs.In the future, the development and management principle of Yumen Oilfield should focus on developing oil, gas and refining industry as main industry, carrying out strategic technological and institutional innovations, optimizing industry structure and exploiting human and material resources, enhancing the information construction.The strategies described in this paper will help the enterprise growing and developing.
