The Impact Of Globalization Trend In Labor Standards On Chinese Labor-intensive Industries

With the rapid development of economic globalization nowadays, the enactment, modification, and enforcement of labor law of various countries, which were once confined within the boundary of a nation, has been the common concerned problem throughout the world. The developed countries take their anticipated advantages in economy and law to exert pressure on developing countries usually in terms of labor standard. China is also unable to avoid the influence of global trend on the labor standard as a member of the WTO. In order to avoid the damages which are caused by the divorcing from the world under the economic integration background, it is necessary for us to analyze the influence on Chinese enterprises by the labor standard.The profit level can be decided even more by the labor cost in the labor-intensive industry in contrast to the capital-intensive industry. The labor-intensive industry will be suffered most if labor standard were revised. In addition, as to China, the textile is one of the comparative advantage industries. So it is one of the most attractive in numerous labor-intensive industries. Because of the above-mentioned reasons, this paper focuses on the represented textile industry in labor-intensive industry of China.Among past research, most scholars consider the union labor standard in all over the world as a important tool to the developed countries which set the trade barriers , in other words, the labor standard globalization was considered as a subjective thing. This text attempts to describe the objectivity to the labor standard globalization from various angles. After analyzing the reasons of labor standard globalization trend, the paper will weigh the power between propelling countries and accepted ones with the game theory, so as to further confirm that the labor standard globalization is irreversible. On the premise of thus, this thesis considers that three problem were worth researching in china today: First, what influences will take place to the domestic labor law which is closely related to the labor-intensive industries in the trend of globalization for labor law; Second ,what changes will happen to labor-capital relationship in labor-intensive industries in such trend; Third, whether or not the prices will sharply change and have further influence on the import for the labor-intensive product of China. It is in the very three aspects that, a dedicate and deep research is taken for the labor-intensive industries of China in the background of global trend of labor standard.
