One of the factors that clearly differentiate innovative companies from others is the constancy of their devotion to strong products and to the need to constantly improve them over time, which is the key that companies win customers. In new market environment, companies need a new development strategy, based on which product development can develop product family to meet diversified needs of customers and at the same time reduces cost.For the new situation, which the companies face, this paper studies the product platform strategy in the new product development systemically. First the product platform strategy and its relevant concept are introduced synthetically, which will lay a foundation for the later research. Then the paper analyzes the process of implementing the product platform gradually. The extensive method is used for platform innovation. A product platform matter-element is set up. Which unified the qualitative analysis and the quantitative evaluation, moreover caused using the computer to carry on the innovation possibly. The appraisal has to carry on after having a development plan to, and then this paper establishes a product platform evaluation system, uses fuzzy logic inference to appraise scientifically. Finally, through a mathematical model, profit and the cost of implementing product platform strategy are analyzed, and the appropriateness of product platform is obtained, that can make the superintendent apply platform strategy better.
