Dominant design is a widely accepted product architecture. When the industry-led design evolves, the morphological structure and functional characteristics of the product architecture will change and optimize.Product architecture is an important result and embodiment of product design, reflecting the dependencies between the various modules of the product. As the development of the enterprise changes, the shape of the product architecture will evolve from integration to modularization to openness, and from modularization to integration when it is affected by technology. However, the existing research only pays attention to the structural change of the structure, and does not deeply study the growth and evolution of the structure.Different growth and change methods will directly affect the production activities such as R&D,production and delivery of the enterprise, and ultimately affect the business performance of the enterprise. This paper takes the leading design as the premise, actively searches for the relevant literature on the influence of the leading design on the product architecture, and analyzes the impact mechanism of the system design on the product architecture of the late-generation enterprise. In view of the characteristics of the research object, this paper uses the case study method, exploratory research to lead the growth mechanism of product architecture under the design situation, and forms a systematic analysis framework to provide decision-making basis for enterprise product innovation.Through literature review, this paper systematically sorts out the formation of leading design, customer demand, competitors, corporate strategy and other factors will affect the growth of product architecture, but the growth of the structure ultimately depends on the economic factors of the enterprise.Through expert interviews, this paper builds an economic evaluation system.Relying on the path dependence theory, this paper analyzes and summarizes the growth path of product architecture with UF-U8 as the basic research object. This paper draws the following conclusions through case studies:(1)Under the dominant design situation, there is a certain regularity in the growth of product architecture.First, its morphological characteristics gradually changed from closed to open, from simple to complex.Secondly, its growth rate experienced two peak growths in the path dependence of path growth and the turning point of path creation, and then stabilized;then, its growth path It is not a straight rise, but a tortuous advance.Under the influence of factors such as the external environment and its own resource capabilities, there will be deviations from the dominant design route.(2)The growth of product architecture under the dominant design situation is the technical logic dominated by economic logic.expression.Technical logic mainly refers to the product architecture itself, including systems, modules and interfaces. The economic logic is summarized into four aspects:cost, benefit, risk and uncertainty through expert evaluation. The growth of architecture is the process of matching technical logic and economic logic;(3)The proportion of influence of economic factors in the structure growth process is different, according to the degree of influence:income, cost, uncertainty and risk.In addition,at different stages of the growth of the structure, the impact of each of the secondary economic factors on the growth of the structure is also different.Research is for practical services.Combining the research conclusions of this paper with the practical problems of business management, through the regularity of structural growth,it can provide economic decision-making and management suggestions for product innovation, and enhance the integration of product architecture and product innovation practice.
