The Research Of K Company's Supply Chain Management

In this competitive and challenging era, the only unchanged thing is changing. Now the enterprises are competing by the whole supply chain instead of the single company. In order to keep a continuous strategic advantage, a company must optimize the business process, integrate the supply chain through sharing information between suppliers and customers and eliminate the valueless procedure. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are useful to monitor and improve the performance.K company is a stock-listed and state-owned enterprise in Shen Zhen. It has utilized ERP for supply chain management and FIS for production quality control. But it still has many problems, such as inefficient use of SAP and bad numbering control.This thesis studies the supply chain management status of K company by using the up to date theories and tools and reveals how to perfectly manage the supply chain.The first chapter describes the status of K company and the content of this thesis.The next one is the important Chapter 2 which introduces the procedure and requirements of purchasing and lists out many analysis tools and theories about purchasing efficiency and effectiveness, such as cost reduction strategies, negotiation skills, contract knowledge, reverse auction method and other skills and approach study. Then it introduces the KPIs which can measure the performance of purchasing department.Chapter 3 analyzes the importance and methods about developing the strategic partnership with suppliers, studies how to setup suppliers' management policies by using Purchasing Strategic Management Matrix and Power Comparison between Buyer and Supplier.
