As an important infrastructure of city, it becomes necessary for the planning and constructing of logistics nodes, which play an important role in city's development. Although logistics nodes with different dimensions and functions have been built or are being built in medium and large cities in China at present days, there still exist a lot of problems such as pursuing perfectness of function, scale and quantity during the constructing logistics nodes in most cities, planning and constructing of logistics parks and logistics centers at the same period, constructing without market and redundantly, having facilities idle and inefficiencies and so on. Determinations of the logistics nodes systems, scale and locations are the keys to solving problems above. In this sense, it is important for the development of city logistics how many levels of logistics nodes should be set, what the reasonable scale of logistics nodes and where these logistics nodes should be located in a special urban.This paper proceeds with the problems in four sections.In the first section, the establishment of logistics nodes systems is discussed. Based on the aggregation of the logistics nodes' functions, roles and classifications, city logistics nodes are set in three levels that contain logistics park, logistics center and logistics station. Since overall system of three-level is not necessary to every city, the reasonable logistics nodes system should be set according to the real situations of different cities, which classified by the distinction of characteristic, scale and economic status.In the second section, the scale of logistics nodes systems is discussed. The reasonable quantity is discussed based on the references of logistics nodes' quantity at home and abroad. Formula of the total scale is derivate on analyzing relationship between the logistics volume and logistics nodes scale. Then the logistics volume is analyzed in direction, industry and model, and in the next the logistics channels are determined and the logistics volume are distributed in modified total allocation method. In the final the logistics nodes scale are calculated by allocating logistics volume in all logistics channels, and with the location results the final scale of each logistics nodes are determined.
