A Study On The Successful And Critical Factors During Its Development Of Bilateral Free Trade Area

Entering into the 21^st century, territorial economic integration, mostly characterized by bilateral free trade, with its developing course accelerating further, has become the dominant mode for driving international economic integration.As a major mode of territorial economic integration, bilateral free trade area, plays a more and more significant role of promoting inter-territory trade, investment and technology pervasion, increasing employment and inhancing territorial integral competitive power, thus is increasingly implemented by country and region goverments all over the world and becomes one of the important problem the academe studyed recently. This dissertation uses the theoretical research achievement in the relative fields and currently practical development of bilateral free trade area worldwide as a reference, tries to abstract, demonstrate and conclude comparatively systematically the successful and critical factors during its development of bilateral free trade area, and builds theoretical structure, on base of which the future of China-Korea Free Trade Area is discussed.This dissertation is organized as following. Chapter One is preface. Chapter Two reviews systematically the relevant theories of Free Trade Area and International Trade, providing a theoretical support of the following study. Chapter Three primarily summarizes the development of bilateral free trade area in the worldwide range in recent years and organizes the concerned events in order by their dates, while emphasizes on the progress of establishing and developing bilateral free trade area by China and Korea respectively as a practical basis of the subsequent research. Chapter Four sets up an analyzing structure of the successful and critical factors during its development of the bilateral free trade area. Chapter Five, founded on the pre-chapter, proves whether China and Korea possessing the key factors required by the favorable development of bilateral free trade area, and forecasts the prospect of China-Korea Free Trade Area.The dissertation tries to innovate to some extent in the following three aspects.1,using existing theoretical research achievements concerned, trying to conclude comparatively systematically the successful and critical factors during its development of the bilateral free trade area, and emphasizing to the greatest extent that the abstract of critical factors based on the theoretical research.2, organizing the developing course of bilateral free trade area worldwide in time order from 2003 to March 2006, which strengthening the practical basis of the analysis relating to the current development of target field.3, verifying whether China and Korea possess the successful and critical factors during its development of the bilateral free trade area according to the reality of two countries and basing the theoretically analyzing structure built, and analyzing the prospect of China-Korea Free Trade Area.
