The Current Situation & Problems Of FDI In Nanjing And The Research Of Countermeasure

With the speeding up of the integration of world economy, international capital flow has also been accelerated and the importance of its role is heightened. FDI is playing a more and more important role for capital formation, technological progress, scientific management, system transformation, resources development, industry optimization, and the improvement of a city's overall competitive power in economic development. With the integrative study and comparative analyses of the collected documents, materials, data and specific circumstances of Nanjing, and on the basis of author's actual work and practical experiences in Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation, this paper tries to, with the quantitative and qualitative analyses, elaborate how to further exploit the FDI for the purpose of promoting the economy to its fullest. The author also hopes to explore how to utilize FDI to further promote the economic development in native area, which might make this research on FDI be of more realistic significance.The paper begins with the reviews of the basic theories and the latest development trend of FDI, and then defines the concrete meanings of FDI and the basic ways for using FDI, which could support as a good theory basis for the researches of the paper. Then the author adopts charts and model analytic methods to analyze every developing stage, structural features, industrial structure, sources and forms and the positive effect in developing Nanjing's economy by using FDI. Immediately after that, the author tries to find the basic problems which act as a hinder of Nanjing's using FDI.
