Study On Theory And Application Of Partnering In Project Management

For the sake of applying Partnering to project management effectively, theory and application of Partnering will be discussed in this thesis. Firstly, it analyzes the academic foundations of Partnering. After comparing Partnering with traditional project management modes, it abstracts its core ideas. Secondly, it supplies the basic implementation procedure of Partnering at present. After presenting a semi-quantitative and comparative analysis of collaboration degree concerning all project management modes, it offers the best combined pattern of Partnering. Thirdly, it studies the three core system thoroughly, which comprises Partnering agreement/contract, the evaluation system of Partnering and the system dealing with disputes in Partnering. Meanwhile, it introduces three typical cases to decipher Partnering process; eventually, it probes into the problem that how to apply Partnering to practice in China, and points out Partnering is worth of being applied in China capaciously, also is beneficial to control project object and manage claims and so on. However, Partnering can not be put forward because of not bearing adequate qualification. This paper raises four advices to put Partnering in practice, which consist of setting up credit mechanism, exerting the leading role of government, encouraging the innovation of contract terms, reanimating the inauguration of evaluation methodology.
