Research On The Issue Of Food Security Of Hebei Province

The issue of food is globally. It is an important issue influencing national safety, economic development, people's livelihood and society stabilization to China which has the most population. As a big province of food consumption and one of the thirteen provinces which are main food production province, its food security problem has important influence to economic development of whole province and national food security. Currently, the provincial food supply and demand is balanceable. But the food security of Hebei province exist many hidden trouble and risk from the medium-term and long-term point. It must be solved properly by adopting some effective countermeasures. At the new position of implementing socialism market economy system and entering WTO, the basic intension and food security actuality and insecurity factors of food security of Hebei province are explored by combined qualitative and quantitative analysis with systems engineering idea. Then actuality, existing matter and its reason of Hebei province food security are analyzed with concerned food security theories and several countermeasures and advices to ensure food security of Hebei province.
