Study On Short-Run Production Quality Control Based On Bootstrap Methods

Along with the cruel market competition and the diversification &individuation of customer demand, enterprise prefers short-run production to volume-production. However, it is difficult to apply traditional Statistical Process Control (SPC) efficiently and effectively under the pattern of short-run production, and the lack of effective quality control method will bring economic loss to enterprise.This dissertation brings forward some methods based on Bootstrap as technical support for the quality control of short-run production, and schemes out the Confidence Interval of Bootstrap Process Capability Index and Bootstrap Control Chart to control quality effectively under the pattern of short-run production.Starting from the characteristics of short-run production, this dissertation introduces and analyses some present quality control methods for that pattern. Then, focusing on the localization of traditional statistical process control methods, this dissertation introduces the principles of Bootstrap Control Chart, and puts forward four kinds of Bootstrap methods to calculate Process Capability Index & and Confidence Interval of short-run production. During the research, operation program is compiled to simulate production data in MATLAB. With the simulation of short-run production process by Statistical Simulation Analysis, each distribution or sample size is accounted, analyzed and compared with each other. With the application of above-mentioned Bootstrap Confidence Interval and Control Chart, some conclusions are drawn in the end of the dissertation, that is, in most cases (especially sample size is small) Percentile-t Bootstrap could get better results than other methods when analyzing process capability.
