A Research On The Modularization Supply Relationship And Collaboration Mechanism In Automobile Industry

The modularization outsourcing is one of the most important prospects in the automobile industry. How to successfully deal with the challenges of the modularization supply relationship-building is a vital issue to the automobile OEMs and suppliers. Otherwise, the relationship can't be built smoothly. The Black-Box Effects (BBEs) which caused by the modularization outsourcing is the key issue to the OEM, while the risk of modularization specific-investments (MSIs) is the main one to the supplier.Firstly, the article establishes and analyses the general game model of the modularization relationship-building between the OEMs and suppliers. The solutions of the collaboration mechanism to promote the relationship-building are drawn: the BBEs should be cut down to the OEM, the MSIs risk should be lowered to the supplier, the certain amount compensation from the OEM should be paid to the supplier, while the punishment methods to avoid the supplier's opportunism behavior in the relationship building process shouldn't be implemented immediately.
