The Advantages Of First-Mover Strategy In New Economy Era

In the New Economy Era, instead of social division of labor, Scale economy and capital, innovation has been the main drive of economy. Informatization and economic globalization have led to the acceleration of innovation, the shortening of product lifecycle, the severity of business competition, and the stupendous increase in the scope of consumers' choice. Grabbing a preemptive entrance opportunity has become one of the prerequisite conditions for surviving a corporation successfully. However, current researches in this area have not gone further enough. In order to make an improvement, this thesis focuses on the systematical discussion of First-Mover Survival theory and show how important it is in this era. This thesis proves a first-mover in accord with the current economic tendency has higher probability of surviving and better performance in the market.
