With the rapid development of market economy, improving machine availability and reducing maintenance cost becomes more and more important for enterprises. This paper's objects of the research is certain cylinder body production line. Utilizing field maintenance record, analysis maintenance cost is analyzed in this paper with considering failure time, maintenance time and break-down time at the same time. Moreover, the research of reliability characteristics value and maintainability characteristics value are researched. Firstly, different importance degree of machines are classified and cost model of preventive maintenance cycle is set up based on failure maintenance cost, preventive maintenance cost, break-down loss cost and manual work cost. Then optimality analysis is made using genetic algorithm tool box of matlab and maintenance management decision is made. And effective execution management decision is also a problem for an organization. So in this paper complexity research is researched for machine management organization, which ensures information can transfer among organizations better, and improves execution of decisions. Detailedly As follows:1.According to the practical requirement of decision-making on maintenance cost management, the failure maintenance recording data of an auto engine cylinder body production line of certain automobile factory is collected. The Pareto curve of machine maintenance cost is drew according to ABC taxonomy. Different machines of ABC three kinds are sorted. Take different measures are used in different machines.2. Regarding to the machines which need preventive maintenance like the B kind, the parameter estimation of mean time between failure(MTBF) and mean time to repair(MTTR) should be made on the base of large quantities of history maintenance record data, and the numerical value of reliability and maintenance character should be calculated. The preventive maintenance cycle in limited time can be optimized using genetic arithmetic tool box based on matlab after building mathematic model of machine maintenance cost. After the analysis of recursive prediction, the preventive maintenance cycle time of next step can be calculated. At the same time the time cost of maintenance also should be considered, and only by doing that, the result can provide reasonable instruction for preventive maintenance decision-making.3.Because the importance of maintenance cycle making in maintenance planning, the maintenance management organization and structure is adjusted properly to reduce manpower cost using the theory of complexity. Then, the enterprise organization management flow is improved, and becomes more logical, more scientific, and more systematic.
