Investigation Of Bounded Logistic Center To Be Established In Yantai Economic & Technological Development Zone

With continuous economic development since opening and reform in China, some bonded logistic forms such as bounded warehouses, warehouses supervised for export and area-port linkage trial areas been established with the approval of Central Government, which has contributed actively to cargo transfer and distribution and pushing economic development, however can not meet the requirements to develop international logistics due to various factors. So the State Administration of Customs has proposed to establish multi-supervision system for bonded warehousing and logistics based on bonded logistic centers Type-A and -B to meet the demands for developing international logistics from various areas and various levels. Yantai, as an important traffic center linking Northeastern and Northern China, has special advantages to develop bonded logistics. Establishing YEDA Bonded Logistic Center is necessary for advancing district economic development and will play an important role in driving international logistic development in Yantai and promoting sustainable development in YEDA.Based on analysis of the developments of domestic and abroad logistics and bonded logistic centers in China, this Paper first analyzes the advantages to establish YEDA Bonded Logistic Center from geographic location, economic strength, transportation means, foundation for logistic industries and requirements for logistics, then puts forward planning proposal including site location, function orientation, operation process, facilities configuration, special functional areas, construction of facilities supervised by the Customs and organization of traffics, and then brings forward management scheme emphasizing the setup of information platform, and finally concludes the feasibility to establish YEDA Bonded Logistic Center based on the financial analysis, direct profitability analysis and social benefit analysis. To sum up, this Paper will definitely help YEDA Administration Committee to make decision to apply for establishing YEDA Bonded Logistic Center Type-B and further the sustainable development in YEDA.
