At the preliminary stage of China's reform and opening, the natural environment of agricultural production made no direct influence on the evolution of rural household type. However since the late 1980s, the correlation between natural environment of agricultural production and evolution of rural household type enhanced, and it showed the negative correlation.The intense contradiction between people and land as well as the improvement of agriculture created the conditions for evolution of rural household type objectively. The development of agriculture and urban manufacture provided the necessary platform for evolution of rural household type. The unequal industry and agriculture comparative profits are the driving force for evolution of rural household type. Development of traffic and communication promoted evolution of rural household type. The higher degree of evolution of rural household type is in favor of the production of specialized households. The series of system with rural household responsibility system and the reformation of the original systems built favorable system circumstance for the evolution of rural household type.
