Mild Slope Land Development Of The Low Mountain And Hills In Developed Region

Land resource (especially construction land) supply is very important for sustainable economic growth in developed region of our nation. This paper took Yongkang City of Zhejiang province as a case study, making a systematic research on mild slope land development of the low mountain and hills in developed region. The main study contents and corresponding results were as follows:(1) Large population and limited land is the basic situation in developed region of our nation. Considering that rapid economic growth brings greater land use demand, mild slope land development of the low mountain and hills is imperative.(2) Based on learning the foundation of domestic and international advanced related theories, this paper proposed the theoretical basis and action principle of mild slope land development of the low mountain and hills.(3) Based on the platform of GIS, We designed the process and techno-way of mild slope land of the low mountain and hills investgating.(4) This paper established an evaluation system, and analyzed both the agriculture and construction utilization suitability of the mild slope of low mountain and hills resource in Yongkang city.(5) Through analyzing the mild slope land development of the low mountain and hills in Yongkang City, We conculed that: during all the mild slope of low mountain and hills resource in Yongkang City, the suitable area for cultivated land accounted for less than 10%, Which was very limited to replenish cultivated land. Besides, it brought a higher socioeconomic performance to develop mild slope of low mountain and hills near residential area to construction land than to farmland. Compared with limited suitable area for cultivated land, the suitable area for orchard&perennial plantation and the suitable area for forest land accounted for over 80%. Develop the suitable area for orchard&perennial plantation to orchard&perennial plantation and explore the suitable area both for cultivated land and orchard&perennial plantation to cultivated land, that is the reasonable way to develop the mild slope of low mountain and hills resource in developed region.
