A Study On Sustainable Land Use In The Rapid Urbanization Area Of Fuzhou City

With the continuing intensity of the human-land contradiction and the deepening of sustainable development conception, the study on sustainable land use has become one of the hot points in the study of geography and relevant subjects. Recently, with the population growth and the development of social productivity, especially the rapid urbanization influencing land use greatly, the human-land relationship in Fuzhou City has been becoming more and more urgent, it can offer a typical example for sustainable land use study in the process of rapid economy and urbanization development on regional scale.Firstly, the relevant theories of sustainable land use were discussed, researching into the compatible mode to integrate sustainable development and land use. Secondly, the basic situation of land use in Fuzhou City was analyzed, especially emphasizing the rapid urbanization, the driving mechanism that urbanization acts on land use change was expatiated. Thirdly, the systematic characteristics was portrayed from the branch systems of resource, environment, economy and society aspects, an index system which reflects the characteristics of rapid urbanization area pertinently was put forward for evaluating sustainable land use. Fourthly, the objective value and the weight of the indicators were confirmed, the dynamic quantitative comprehensive evaluation of sustainable land use for Fuzhou City from 1997 to 2004 was conducted, the evolution trend of land use system and the coordination degree among resource, environment, economy and society sub-system were analyzed, the obstacle facors that restricted land use in Fuzhou City from sustainably developing were researched into, single-factor analysis was conducted, the sustainable land use level in the future 10 years was forcasted, hastly, some reference sustainable land use modes were brought forward, the spacial distribution of land use in Fuzhou City was probed into.
