| This paper summaries the extensive and all-around researches on the regional development. Selecting Fuzhou city as a study case, it designs the sustainable developmental indicator system of Fuzhou. According to the principle of combing quantifying analysis and qualify analysis, the paper comprehensiverly evaluates the sustainable development of Fuzhou from 1996 to 2005. First of all, the paper discusses the main contents of reginal sustainable development research, including conception, connotation, development of process and comprehensive evaluation of regional sustainable in China and other countries. Based onFuzhou's status, the indicator system is constructed from three point of views—resourceand environment, economy and society. The indicator system has 3 layers. The first layer includes 3 indicators which are the sustainable development of resource and environment, economy and society. The second layers include 22 indicators. And the last layers include 96 indicators.This paper collects data of each indicator from 1996 to 2005 in Fuzhou. Aiming at the convenience of comparing, it makes a standard treatment by a math function, chooses a statistical method to process the lost data and gets scores of each indicator by Analytic Hierarchy Process method and Delphi method.Then it calculates the comprehensive evaluation index of sustainable development which contain the sustainable resourceful and environmental index (En), sustainable economic index (Ec) and sustainable social index (Sc) from 1996 to 2005 by function method of adding various targets proportion. For reflecting the connotation of regional sustainable development, this paper designs 3 indexes, which are Level Index (LI), Development Index (DI) and Coordination Index (CI). On the basis of resourceful and environmental,economic and social development data from 1996 to 2005, this paper makes comprehensive evaluation of Fuzhou regional sustainable development. The main results are that Economy increasing leads to a serious environmental phenomena and economic growth can drive social progress. As far as LI's concerned, the stage of Fuzhou sustainable development is turning into high-grade stage. From DI index, we can know that the development in Fuzhou is non-suntainable froml996 to 1997, but change to sustainability from 1997 to 2005. The direction of the develpoment is ascending with the turbulence of several years. And from CI index, the development of Fuzhou is strong sustainable from 1996 to 2001 and from 2002 to 2005. The direction of the development is queasy.According to the results of the above evaluation, consulting some other researchors' s work and the guidance of regional development in Fuzhou, some suggestions on sustainable development around resource and environment, economy and society in Fuzhou are made in this paper.Finally, the paper puts forward the outlook to the further research on comprehensive evaluation of regional sustainable development. |
